  1. Parabens: Lotions, infant shampoos, and soaps all contain parabens. Breast cancer tumours, reproductive toxicity, hormone disruption, and skin irritation are all possible side effects of parabens. Avoid substances with the prefix "-paraben." Your baby's wipes may include parabens.
  2. Dioxane: Ethoxylation, which produces 1,4-dioxane and uses the cancer-causing petrochemical ethylene oxide, is used to make harsh substances gentle. It is hazardous to the kidneys, the nervous system, and the lungs. Because 1,4 Dioxane is a "contaminant" and is hazardous, it won't be disclosed on the product's ingredient labels.
  3. PEG: Different substances from this class of polyethylene glycols can be found in shampoos, creams, and lotions. This mutagenic petroleum chemical decreases the natural moisture of the skin, makes you look older, and makes you more susceptible to bacteria. On the label of baby products, look for PEG.
  4. Sodium Laureth Sulfate: To give soaps, shampoos, and toothpaste its frothy look, one of the most dangerous substances in personal care goods is this one. It's quite risky! The sensitive skin of a baby or young child can be severely damaged by this irritant, which can also prevent their eyes from maturing properly. It can weaken the immune system, leading to skin irritation and layer separation.
  5. Mineral Oil: Mineral oil is a cheap by-product of petroleum processing and is literally like a plastic wrap on the skin. Sometimes baby oil is a horrid combination of mineral oil mixed with fragrance.
  6. Talc: Talc is used to make talcum powder. Talc may contain asbestos fibers, which can cause cancer and pulmonary damage. According to a USGC study, even talc free of asbestos is hazardous and carcinogenic. This mineral powder is frequently added to baby powder, although it irritates the lungs.
  7. Preservatives: Certain preservatives, such as benzoic acid, can produce benzene. Additionally, leukemia and other blood malignancies have been linked to benzene, a known carcinogen. Baby shampoo and lotion both contain this preservative.
